METHOD & LIMITATIONS
Questions first.
Sources second.
Decisions with context.
This is an independent educational guide to roof and drainage problems. It is not the former contracting company associated with this domain.
How the topics were chosen
We reviewed 61 distinct Reddit discussion links across roof problems, drainage and contractor or property questions. Some discussions were available in full; others were available only through indexed excerpts when direct access failed. They reveal recurring concerns in this sample, not the prevalence of defects in the wider population.
The library contains 100 guides. A single discussion may suggest several distinct questions. The FAQ prioritizes recurring problems and consequential decisions in the sample. We did not measure Google keyword volume or claim these are the web’s 100 most popular searches.
What the sources establish
Community discussions supply questions and examples of uncertainty. They do not establish the cause of a leak, the quality of a particular contractor or the applicable law. Articles link separately to government, technical and manufacturer resources for the relevant factual points. Numbered references appear beside supported claims.
The explanatory examples are illustrative, not reported inspections or customer cases. No independent site inspection, engineering assessment or professional editorial review is claimed.
Jurisdiction and product limits
California and Bay Area permitting articles identify their geographic scope. Local authorities and the documents for the actual product and assembly control specific requirements. Confirm the rules and adopted code edition for your address and project before work begins. A permit approval, warranty and insurance coverage answer different questions.
Reading without climbing
The guides focus on accessible observations, records, questions and decisions. Illustrations are not installation drawings. Roof access, intrusive investigation and work near utilities require suitable qualifications and precautions.
The contractor recommendation
The site includes an owner-selected recommendation linking to YKCA. It does not reproduce the former owner’s personal information or represent past Skyline projects. Confirm the services, scope and qualifications for your project directly with the contractor.
